Sensory Ball Kit with Picture Exchange

Balls have so many therapeutic qualities. This kit contains twelve fun balls, a quality storage box, and laminated/velcroed picture exchange board.

Items in kit are for children over the age of 3 and should be used with adult supervision.

Why use balls?

*use as a communication temptation to elicit language by presenting just one ball and having child say, sign or use a picture to request another ball
*work on early bilabial sound “b” for “ball” and “bounce”
*teach adjectives to describe textures…soft, hard, squishy, bumpy
*use light-up ball for focusing
*use squeeze ball to help control ‘figits’ to help child focus on other activities
*present box closed to have child request “open”
*gives tactile feedback for children with sensory integration needs
*teaches imitations of actions, as this is a precursor to speech development including “bounce”, “roll”, “throw”, “spin”, “pull” and “pop”
